Dyslexia Causes
08.27.07 (6:29 am)   [edit]

dyslexia is not the product of anything related to parenting or childhood. Studies by Dr. Samuel Orton, one of the first dyslexia researchers, have shown that many dyslexics were very well adjusted and happy students in preschool. Any emotional problems that later developed were usually the result of frustration and embarrassment from their dyslexia.

The true cause is still not known, but it appears to result from the brain developing in a way that is different from others. The only real relation so far appears to come from genetics. If other family members have had a history of reading troubles or dyslexia, then your child has a higher chance of developing it. In this case, you should keep a close eye on their development and have them take a dyslexia symptoms test if you believe that they may have it. Finding a dyslexia cure early is a crucial step in preventing emotional problems and allowing them to grow up as happy and well adjusted children.
